|I usually avoid self-help books like the plague.I typically find them to be self-esteem vampires in that they suck it all out of you, or they are too preachy, or too unrealistic. The Three Strategies of the Unstoppable Woman is different. Author Britt Santowski respects her reader. She comes from a place of improving something that is already great, not fixing something that is disastrously broken.
Santowski recognizes that women everywhere have already succeeded in spite of (and because of) their pasts, continue to thrive in the present, and have the desire to flourish well into the future.
I appreciate that.
Throughout the book, Santowski poses thought provoking challenges to the reader as she introduces the reader to the role of accountability, collaboration and initiative in this quest. Conversational in tone, filled with examples, supported by the research and work of other professionals this is a book that will not just make you think but make you rethink all that you have been and all that you are as you move towards what you will be.
Mentors can have many roles: teacher, guide, counselor, coach, advisor, role model, friend… In The Three Strategies of the Unstoppable Woman, Britt Santowski fills them all as she works with the reader to move her towards fulfilling her potential: becoming an Unstoppable Woman.
I like this book better every time I read it.
