Hello,
I am the founder of Seed Launch, a consulting firm that builds strategic business plans for entrepreneurs and business owners. I am holding a business competition for women called ‘Launch-Her Way’, which is designed for female entrepreneurs to take action on their business ideas and compete in a business plan competition in order to win seed funding to start-up. The reason I started the project is because there is only a small percentage of women that come out of the business schools that go on to start their own companies for numerous reasons; lack of time or capital, experience, and/or a network of support. Seed Launch is creating the opportunity for women in the world to create more business within their community. So far, we’ve raised $10,000, and we are looking to grow this number to help fund women across the globe. It is going to require them to find space to hold the event and more donations for seed funding.
The timeline is to begin accepting applications now until March 1st. Then, award the winners by March 22nd, 2011.

I was very excited to stumble across your book while flipping through a magazine a couple of weeks ago. I am in the process of moving down to Sooke and was very pleased to find you as we seem to be on synchronous paths. I have recently launched a healing and wellness consulting business, where I do intuitive healing work as well as facilitating and/or hosting group healing/learning circles, etc.
I have a couple of co-horts I host in various fields such as business/life coaching employing various tools such as hypnotherapy etc. to empower, enable, and generally “take out the trash.” My clients are predominantly women and most of the circles are women-only as it fosters a special energy that is in many respects unique and in all respects sacred.
I would have enjoyed attending your event, however, the 28th is moving day for us (ugh!). I would very much enjoy having a chance to get together with you for a tea and chat when you have some time.

Great to hear from you, Shirley! Sooke is small enough that our paths will cross. The Soiree doesn’t start until after 7pm, so if you need a few hours of inspiration and sanity (along with great food!), do consider dropping by. You’ll be meeting some key people in the community!
